Grice ed Aquino

 The Jesuit Scholar (1654–1737)    Reverend Carlo d'Aquino was a significant Italian Jesuit, scholar, and Dante expert.  Occupation He was a Catholic priest, university teacher, translator, and a renowned classical scholar and Latinist. He taught at the Roman College. Key Achievement He is best known for producing the first-ever translation of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy into heroic Latin verse. Published Works He authored several extensive lexicons and other academic works, including Lexicon militare (1724), Vocabularium architecturae aedificatoriae (1734), and Nomenclator agriculturae(1736).
